TWO rising stars from Chester landed leading roles in a pair of fundraising music videos.
Sophie Bridgewater, 10, and Charlotte Russell, 15, were chosen to star in videos to accompany tracks by London band The 9ines.
The songs have been released online in aid of the Walk Tall and Be Free charity campaign, organised by Waverton-based music, event and fundraising company Aardvarker.com.
Waverton Primary School pupil Sophie took the lead in the video for Walk Tall, created by media staff at the University of Chester.
Filming took place over two days at the derelict Pool Parc Hospital near Ruthin in North Wales, Liverpool 8 and in the University’s media studios.
Aardvarker.com director Lee Hallam said: “We are ever grateful to the team at Chester University Media Department for dedicating so much of their own time to this music video and to Sophie for being so professional and natural on her debut film ‘acting’ appearance.”
Talented dancer and Christleton High School student Charlotte performed in the video for Be Free, shot at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
Charlotte took up ballet at the tender age of three and hopes to pursue a career in dance and musical theatre.
Lee said: “I noticed Charlotte’s talent some time ago when she was assisting my daughter’s ballet classes and immediately had a vision of how the Be Free video could be.
“Charlotte was delighted when I told her what I had in mind and enthusiastically and brilliantly choreographed dance to the whole song herself.
“There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Charlotte has her career in dance and musical theatre set in stone – she is a natural star.”
Walk Tall and Be Free can be purchased from iTunes and other digital stores.
At least 15p from each sale will go towards The National Autistic Society and LAM Action, which supports those suffering from the lung condition lymphangioleiomyomatosis.
