A cherry tree has been planted at the entrance to Kingsley Cemetery as a special prize awarded to the community after winning the Most Improved Village category in this year's Community Pride competition, organised by Cheshire Community Council.

The tree, donated by Cheshire Landscape Trust, was planted at a ceremony attended by trust chairwoman, Helen Carey.

Also present were: Community Council member Cathy Benn; Landscape Trust member Bob Price; Trust operations manager Katy Lowe, and Parish Councillors.
