ONE of the UK's largest travel companies, First Choice, has set up shop in Widnes.
First Choice Travel invited Vikings player Damien Blanch to the launch of the store on Albert Road last Monday.
The shop is employing six people and is managed by Piera Gerbi, who has nine years' experience in the travel industry under her belt.
Mrs Gerbi said: 'I'm delighted that we're opening a brand new store in Widnes. It's very exciting that we're able to bring First Choice to the town, especially as many of the team are local.
'Between us, we have more than 35 years of experience in the travel industry and we look forward to introducing customers to our new-look store.'
Cheryl Powell, First Choice managing director, said: 'With Piera and her team's passion for travel, I know that they will do a fantastic job serving the people of Widnes and finding the perfect holiday to suit their needs.'
