Traffic is easing and long delays have cleared following an accident on the M56 eastbound earlier today between junction 15 M53 and junction 14 A5117 at Hapsford.
A car had overturned and entered a ditch earlier this afternoon afternoon (April 1).
The incident, which was reported to emergency services at 3.11pm, led to the closure of one lane, causing queuing traffic.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire police confirmed the occupants of the vehicle are safely out.
