TOWN councillors objected when plans were put forward for one-bedroom starter homes.

The application was made by Mr Bryan Pusey at the Beacon Venture Scout Unit, Moor Lane, Frodsham.

The site is at the rear of Main Street in Frodsham town centre and is in the town’s conservation area, according to a report.

Until recently it contained a large hall used as a scout hut which has been relocated.

Permission was being sought for three terraced homes each of which would have a garden but no parking.

Frodsham Town Council objected due to insufficient parking and poor access.

No objections were raised by neighbours who were consulted or by Frodsham borough councillors Andrew Dawson and Lynn Riley (Con) who were notified.

The starter homes would help towards the provision of a range of dwellings in the town, planners suggested.

The development would be in keeping as there were a number of mews houses nearby and would not have a detrimental effect on the character of the area.

Approval was granted.
