SOME of the top business minds in the North West are contributing to the development of future programmes delivered by Chester Business School at the University of Chester.

The Business Advisory Council (BAC) has been strengthened to provide strategic advice on the development, labour supply and training needs of the local economy, to ensure the school remains at the cutting-edge of business education.

Greg Reid, President of Bank of America UK Card Services; Graham Ramsbottom, Managing Director (North West) of the Grosvenor Estate; and Annette Moor, Chief Executive of Chester Cathedral, are just some of the new esteemed business experts who are members of the council.

Professor Phil Harris, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Enterprise and Lifelong Learning and Westminster Chair of Marketing and Public Affairs, said: “Chester Business School has a strong reputation of providing high quality teaching and commercial services, and focuses on the needs of industry, commerce and the public services.

“The BAC meets twice per year and provides an opportunity to formally discuss strategic developments and challenges for the Business School.

“The pool of expertise we have on the council is second-to-none and will enable us to reinforce our expertise to identify market training requirements.

“As BAC provides a network of senior links in the local business community, Chester Business School is able to better meet the needs of the local business community to produce well educated staff and well researched business advice.”
