SCHOOL pupils and residents are launching a crackdown on dog fouling in Tilston.

Members of the community, including parish councillors, have joined forces with Cheshire West and Chester Council to warn dog owners about the repercussions of failing to clean up after their pets.

Dog wardens and community safety wardens accompanied councillors on a ‘day of action’ to raise awareness of the issue.

Pupils from Tilston Primary School designed posters about the dangers of dog fouling and littering, as part of a workshop led by Community Safety Wardens.

Leaflets explaining the law on dog fouling and how to report irresponsible dog owners were handed to passers by and posted through doors.

And there were free bags given to dog walkers to dispose of their pet’s waste.
