Families from across Cheshire, Wirral and North Wales came along to The Queen’s School’s Christmas Cracker extravaganza this weekend.

Girls aged between two and seven and joined their families in listening to carols and festive songs from the infant Christmas show, tried their hand at some seasonal art and crafts, wrote their wish list for Father Christmas, stroked some real reindeer and even met the big man himself.

They also took part in a festive drama workshop led by head of performing arts at the Lower School Juliette Childe.

Head of the Lower School Rachel Cookson said: “The Christmas Cracker is a great way for the families to get a feel for how we work at Queen’s – art, practical activities, drama, music and fun are all absolutely vital in engaging young minds in the business of learning.”
