Ten people from the Chester area have appeared in court charged in relation to the long-term abuse of vulnerable people in the city.

More than 50 officers executed warrants at addresses in Blacon, Leigh, Birkenhead and Styal on Wednesday, August 12, following a detailed investigation with the assistance of partnership agenices within the Chester area.

Four men and six women were arrested for a variety of offences including harassment and conspiracy to steal.

Samantha Daniel, 30, Hayley Jones, 37, Andrew Graham, 31, Mandy Gray, 50, Rachel Jones, 39, Crystal Rowson, 29, Clare Thompson, 42, Kevin Thompson , 51, Matthew Williams, 42, and Darren Daniels, 45, were charged with a total of 48 offences between them following questioning.

They appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 13, where they were all remanded in custody.

They are due to appear at Chester Crown Court on August 25.
