A TEENAGER was arrested after a dramatic police chase through Chester.
At just before noon on Tuesday (February 12) four police cars and officers reportedly raced through the city centre after reports that a teenager had stolen a bike in Brook Street.
The chase finally ended at the Wagon and Horses Pub in Blacon where a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft.
Cheshire Police said officers responded to reports a bicycle had been stolen in Brook Street shortly before noon.
Spokesperson for Cheshire police George Perfitt said: “At 11.58am on Tuesday, February 12 police responded to a report of a theft of a pushbike on Brook Street. A 17-year-old boy was arrested close to the scene shortly afterwards. The bike has been recovered.”
