VILLAGERS in Tattenhall didn’t need the X Factor to keep them entertained on Saturday – they had their very own Tattenhall’s Got Talent competition.

Instead of heading to the judges’ houses, the acts went to the Barbour Institute to prove they have what it takes to become a star.

Organiser Jane Richards said all the entries were of the ‘highest standard’, making the judging for Frances Cooke, Vanessa Gibson and Martin Hilton, a difficult task.

In the end the dancers won through for both age groups with dance troupe Wink winning the seven-18 age group and dancing duo Joanna and Steven Thomas taking the trophy for the over 18 age group. The two winning acts will now appear alongside other established acts at the grand gala evening on the October 16.

Tickets for this event, in aid of The Countess of Chester breast unit and the National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, are still on sale at Tattenhall Post Office.
