Children and staff at a Tarvin nursery are celebrating after being declared outstanding for the second time running.

Tarvin Pre-School and Day Nursery were awarded the rating of Outstanding following a recent Ofsted inspection.

The nursery scored ‘1’ in all areas and was commended for the superb knowledge of each child and the rich and varied activities that inspire and motivate the children to learn.

In its report Ofsted went on to say that ‘all children make exceptionally rapid progress in relation to their starting points at this lively and stimulating nursery.’

Nursery manager Lyn Jackson said “We are delighted with this result and we’ll continue to strive to deliver excellence in all areas.”

The nursery was first registered in 1967 and is a community nursery and a registered charity.

It’s situated in the grounds of Tarvin Primary School and provides an outdoor environment surrounded by green fields and a wooded area for children to explore.

Last year, the staff and children moved into a purpose built building which they now call home.

The nursery cares from children age two and upwards and provides funded early educations for two, three and four year olds.
