He was nominated by his partner Deborah Pellegrini after the hard work and time that he has invested into volunteering for the fire station, as well as regularly helping to raise money for the Fire Service Benevolent Fund and the War Memorial Cottage Hospital.

If crowned the ultimate holiday hero Jonathan will win a holiday to Majorca for himself and his family courtesy of icelolly.com.

He said, “I’m flattered and really grateful to have been nominated. I’ve never been nominated for anything before, so it’s nice to know that everything I do doesn’t go unnoticed. Although I don’t do the volunteer work for any other reason than because it makes me happy to help others. To be able to take my family away on a proper holiday, that doesn’t involve tents and the Great British weather would be amazing!”

Deborah said, “I wanted to show him how much he is appreciated, to say thank for your everything he has done for me, our children and the public. He works full time plus volunteers his time at his local fire station, on top of helping our with fund-raising events and the local school’s allotment. He never says no, always putting everyone else first. He’s a fantastic dad and a loving, caring partner to myself.”
