A VILLAGE showed off its talent at its annual autumn show.

Community spirit was in the air as the community of Dodleston came together to showcase their flowers, fruit, vegetables, cakes and crafts.

Chris Gittins swept the board for the third year running when he took home the Merryl Shanklin Memorial Trophy for his home-grown fruits and vegetables and lovingly nurtured flowers.

Jennie Carter’s preserves, crafts and foods were also winners, as was Emma Preston’s photography and David Carter’s wine.

This year saw an increase in the number of competitors in the show, and many old faces were also welcomed.

All proceeds raised from the event will go to the Dodleston Village Foundation (DVF), who you can now follow on Facebook and Twitter at @dodlestonautumn.
