A suspected drug dealer has been arrested after police raids on addresses in Hoole .

Officers took a 52-year-old man into custody who is believed to have been involved with supplying Class A substances.

They used warrants to bust into addresses in Faulkner Street and Heathcote Close on Wednesday afternoon (July 20).

Sections of the streets were closed off while the operation was carried out by the Chester Local Policing Unit.

The man was arrested at the Heathcote Close address on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

Inspector Brian Green, from Chester LPU, said: “The corrosive effect that drug abuse and associated criminality has on our communities is well known.

“We are committed to tackling the problem and targeting those involved.

“Today’s warrants reinforce the commitment that the police and partner agencies have in targeting those people that undermine our communities and bring misery to residents through their involvement in organised crime and illegal drugs.”

Earlier this month a 25-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested after the force executed warrants in Tomkinson Street, also in Hoole.

Cheshire Police said reports from members of the public on drug use and supply in the community was vital in helping them track down offenders.

They urge anyone with any information to contact them on 101.

Details can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
