Two people have appeared in court after a man was allegedly robbed and stabbed in Blacon.

A man remains in hospital after suffering multiple lacerations to his hands, feet and thigh during an incident at the Nature Park, Muir Road, on Friday (October 24).

Two people have now appeared in court charged with robbery following the incident, which saw a 38-year-old man airlifted to hospital.

The victim is now in a stable condition following surgery, police confirmed.

Eryl Roberts, 33, of Hough Green, and Thomas Humphrey, 28, of no fixed abode, appeared in Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday (October 25).

They will appear back before Chester Crown Court on November 4 for a preliminary hearing.

Police were called to the nature park at around 9.45am on Friday, after a man was allegedly stabbed during a robbery.

The victim was airlifted to Aintree Hospital.

At the time of the incident Cheshire Constabulary would not confirm or deny the rumour circulating among local residents that there had been a stabbing, although North West Ambulance Service said the casualty did suffer multiple lacerations to the hands, feet and thigh.

Police community support officers guarded the crime scene and an area of the nature park was cordoned off while investigations were carried out.
