A brother and sister have raised £80 for the Countess of Chester Babygrow Appeal.
Holly and John Alwood from 1st Farndon Scout Group were so inspired by recent fundraising success at Clutton School that they decided to organise a coffee morning in Farndon and split the proceeds between the Babygrow Appeal and the 1st Farndon Scouts Group.
Holly, eight, made loom bracelets to sell and John, 10, helped to bake the delicious lemon drizzle cake which was such a great success. The cake was served up with teas made by their mum, Lucie, and grandparents Roland and Linda.
Community and events fundraiser Kathy Kenney said: “Holly and John sold cakes and helped with the raffle and bric a brac stall. The fudge was absolutely delicious.”
The money raised was handed over to Kathy, who thanked Holly and John for all their hard work and commitment and added that she hoped this would go towards them both earning a Cub Scout badge.
