COMMUTERS in Farnworth claim Widnes's most famous train station is turning into a hell hole after yobs smashed up a passenger's car.
Passengers claim the station, made famous by Paul Simon who penned the classic Homeward Bound there, is turning into a no-go area after yobs hurled bricks through the windows of their cars.
One commuter whose car was damaged said: 'I park my car at Widnes Station every day to travel into Liverpool and when I returned on Tuesday last week I found my windows had been smashed in.
'I'm surprised there is no security as a lot of people use the station regularly.'
'I won't park at the station any more and I doubt many others will either.'
Widnes's two train stations are proving to be a hot spot for youth crime. Police have stepped up patrols in Farnworth and Hough Green following a riot on a Liverpool-bound train after a disco in Warrington.
