ST MARK’S Church in Saltney was a hive of activity as it held a fun day.

Crowds made the most of the wealth of events taking place in and around the church on Saturday.

Centre manager Maggie Wilson, who was kept busy at the face painting stall, was pleased at the turnout and the weather remaining dry.

She said: “We had a good, very successful day and the weather held off.

“We had a bungee run which proved very popular and a bouncy castle.

“There was face painting, a lot of cream teas and a barbecue. There were lots of cakes on sale in the cafe and we also had a plant stall and a book stall.

“There were activities such as jewellery making, cake decorating and card making. We also had a hook-a-duck stall.

“We’d like to thank representatives of St Mark’s Playgroup and groups supporting the church.”
