THE Chronicle is offering readers the chance to win five pairs of tickets to this year’s Southport Flower Show.

The show, which runs from August 20-23, is a four day celebration of the very best in garden design, arts and crafts, shopping, family entertainment and food.

For gardening lovers this year’s show will boast stunning show gardens and displays created by some of the best landscapers and designers in the country.

There will be a host of famous names at the show from Benidorm TV star Sherrie Hewson to celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli and gardening experts Christine Walkden, the BBC One Show gardener, and Joe Swift of BBC Gardeners World.

Live music will be a key element this year - the show’s bandstand will feature performances from male voice choirs, brass bands, swing bands and singers.

At the centre of the showground will be a purpose built arena, boasting a range spectacular entertainment, including flying birds of prey, dog displays and circus acts.

Added to this, the show hosts one of the biggest independent shopping experiences in the North West, with more than 350 stalls offering everything from craft wares to items for the home and garden.

The food festival will also be a big feature of the show, where visitors will have the opportunity to try delicious delights from some of the region’s finest artisan food producers and watch live cookery demonstrations from Jean-Christophe and other celebrity chefs.
