An underground cable fault caused road closures in Great Sutton this morning (May 11).
Police were called to ensure residents didn't get too close after smoke was spotted coming from a pavement on Kendal Drive at around 7.30am.
The area was made safe shortly after 10am, but ScottishPower engineers remain at the scene to carry out repairs.
A spokeswoman for ScottishPower said that no customers have been affected by the fault.
