There is slow traffic on the M56 eastbound this morning between J12 A557 (Runcorn) and J11 A56 (Preston Brook) due to an abnormal load.
Motorists are advised to expect congestion to J14 A5117 (Hapsford) with driving restrictions down to 50 mph.
This slow-moving large load has come down the M53 from Birkenhead and is heading for Carrington in Greater Manchester, so the M60 will also be affected later.
The lorry earlier broke down near the oil refinery at Stanlow but is now on its way again.
