A NANTWICH woman is shopping for a new wardrobe of clothes after shedding an impressive 3st 5.5lbs.

Lisa Yarwood, 23, a member of Slimming World in Nantwich, has lost a quarter of her bodyweight in 14 months and is now a svelte 8st 13lbs.

Lisa, of Vauxhall Road, said: 'My gran, who I was very close to, passed away in September 2004 and being down and depressed I comfort ate quite a lot so my weight crept up until I became a dress size 18.

'This was the biggest and heaviest I had ever been. I just decided one day that I didn't want to look in the mirror at myself and feel bad anymore and that it was time to do something about it.'

Lisa, who works at the Middlewich Custody Suite, joined Slimming World and through determination and a sensible eating plan reached her target weight to become a dress size 10, just in time for New Year.

She said: 'To lose so much weight I had to be extremely dedicated and when the weight started to drop off, I started going to the gym and 14 months later I've reached an ideal weight in time for 2007.'

She added: 'I feel fantastic. Things are looking up. My confidence has grown, I've got a new job, bought tons of new clothes, go to the gym and have found a lovely boyfriend.

'Slimming World has truly changed my life. I now look in the mirror and feel good about myself.'

* Slimming World groups are run at the Civic Hall, Nantwich, on Wednesdays at 7pm and Thursdays at 9.30am.
