Students, parents, governors and staff celebrated the opening of Q6 after nearly 12 months of planning and project meetings.

The Y12 and Y13 students now have beautifully designed and up-to-the-minute facilities for relaxation and socialising, wide-screen television screens and new study and computer facilities. It was Mrs Buckley (former Headmistress) who started the ball rolling last September and the design and re-decoration works were completed two weeks ahead of schedule in time for the start of term three weeks ago.

The students are absolutely delighted with their new environment. Emily Ward, aged 16, of Chester, Year12 student, said: "It’s bright and modern and good for working in. And we can relax at lunchtime in really comfortable surroundings." It sounds as if the Sixth Form students at Queen’s will be making the most of their stylish suite of rooms.
