Shortlist announced for Marketing Cheshire annual awards

The shortlist for the 12th Marketing Cheshire Annual Awards has been announced.

More than 30 individuals, initiatives and businesses will compete for top honours at an awards ceremony to be held at Chester Racecourse on November 24.

The awards celebrate excellence and outstanding achievement by local businesses and individuals with the winners of some categories going on to represent Cheshire at the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2017.

The nominees represent the great variety of businesses that contribute to Cheshire’s visitor economy which was worth £2.61 billion and welcomed 47.73 million visitors in 2015.

Chief executive at Marketing Cheshire, Katrina Michel, said: “We are delighted to announce the shortlist for this year’s awards. The standard of entries was extremely high this year and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate.

“Cheshire is home to a wealth of innovative, creative and dynamic businesses supporting our growing visitor economy and the awards ceremony on November 24 will be a real celebration of their achievements and commitment to excellence.
