LATE night Christmas shoppers had a Victorian surprise last week when the cast of Theatre in the Quarter’s A Christmas Carol took to the city streets.

With a star cast from TV and theatre, some of the country’s finest creative talent including set designer and MEN award winner Judith Croft, Nuffield Theatre director Russ Tunney and Edinburgh fringe winner Helen Newall, the show is set to be the highlight of Chester’s Christmas calendar.

The cast and community choir took part in the promenade production last Thursday, November 29 which took place at The Cross, Eastgate Street and at Town Hall Square.

The show opened last night and tickets are available from www.chestertownhall.co.uk, 0845 241 7868 or from Chester Visitor Centre on Northgate Street.
