Both Cheshire police and North Wales police are dealing with a serious collision on the A55.
There are reports that one lane is blocked and traffic is queuing due to the accident on the southbound carriageway between the A51 Vicars Cross interchange and the A41 Sainsbury’s roundabout.
The incident is affecting traffic heading away from the M53 towards North Wales and traffic website Inrix said vehicles are being diverted via the A41.
Ambulances are also on the scene. As yet there is no confirmation how many vehicles are involved.
There is also traffic congestion on the M56 this morning, after a lane has been closed due to an accident.
