POLICE continue to search today for the whereabouts of a missing Chester woman.

Joanne Taylor, 51, from Tarporley, was reported missing on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 17. She was last seen at her workplace at Beeston Auction House in Whitchurch Road, Beeston at around 3.45pm that day.

Since Tuesday, search teams are searching the area around Beeston and Tarporley for clues as to her whereabouts. 

Joanne is described as 5? 3" tall, of slim build with dark shoulder length hair.

She was last seen wearing dark jeans, a dark brown jumper with a white top underneath, a dark coloured puffa style jacket and black patent high heels.

Chief Inspector Damien Smethurst who is co-ordinating the investigation said "We are very concerned for Joanne?s safety and wellbeing as this behaviour is very out of character for her. I would ask that the local communities of Beeston and Tarporley think back to Wednesday and whether they can remember seeing Joanne out and about in the area, and contact Cheshire Police with any information that may assist us in tracing her whereabouts"
