Arco the UK’s leading safety company, has donated Saughall Rainbow guide group a selection of Hi-Vis vests to keep them safe on their outings.

As the clocks roll back and daylight hours shorten, it’s vital that young children are visible to motorists and the leaders of the group.

Rainbow leader Claire Edwards said: “The Hi-Vis vests are the perfect way to keep the girls safe and seen during our local trips out. We can always see where they are and know that they won’t be in any danger from on-coming vehicles when walking next to the road. We can’t thank Arco enough for its generosity and dedication to keeping our girls safe.”

Commenting on the devastation after the scout hut was engulfed in flames, Chester Trade counter manager Ceri Roberts said: “As soon as we heard about the Saughall Scout Hut tragedy, we wanted to donate the vests to ensure that the Rainbows’ days out weren’t compromised.

“Hi-Vis vests are essential for children when walking alongside busy roads and keeping a large group recognisable so that they stay together.”
