Police have closed Rosies nightclub in Chester for up to 48 hours with an application being made tomorrow, Friday, July 8, which could see it shut for as long as three months.

A closure notice has been issued against the Northgate Street club under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act.

This means it could be closed for up to 48 hours from 3pm today (Thursday, July 7).

And tomorrow police will be applying to Chester Magistrates’ Court for a Closure Order which could see the club being shut for up to three months.

Cheshire Police spokeswoman Shelley Smith said: “It is due to a number of recent incidents.”
