A bouncer has appeared in court on Friday, December 5 after allegedly threatening a man with an axe in Chester city centre.

David Baker pleaded not guilty to the incident said to have happened close to the Fountain’s Roundabout on September 17 this year.

The 22-year-old, who was working as a doorman at Rosie’s nightclub at the time of the alleged incident, is charged with threatening David Pell with the weapon.

Baker, of Pensby Drive in Great Sutton, was bailed and will appear at Chester Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on March 21.
