Roof fire drama at Cholmondeley pub

FIREFIGHTERS quickly brought a roof fire under control at a well known country pub.

FIREFIGHTERS quickly brought a roof fire under control at a well known country pub.

Crews from Malpas and Nantwich attended a blaze at the Cholmondeley Arms, Cholmondeley, about 2pm on Tuesday, affecting the exterior of the roof.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel to extinguish the blaze within the eaves. An investigation is being carried out into the cause.
