IF YOU like rock ’n’ roll blues, a charity band concert is taking place in Chester on Saturday, March 16.

Chester Town Hall’s Assembly Room will rock to the music of Cheshire West-based band Stockdale.

All proceeds from the event, taking place from 8-11pm, will go toward the Lord Mayor of Chester’s charity and Cllr Pamela Booher has chosen to fund the boys and girls of Chester Cathedral Choir.

Tom Stockdale is the grandson of the Lord Mayor and is the lead singer in the band.

The majority of the group’s music is written by Tom, who graduated from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Stockdale will be performing their own work, which is influenced by Jeff Buckley, The Black Keys and The Weekend.

Cllr Booher said: “I invite music lovers to the charity band night and it should be a great event, with tickets costing £7.50 each and all the proceeds going to my chosen charity.

“There will be a licensed bar during the evening and the event is aimed at the over-18s.”
