POP singer Lee Latchford-Evans is making another bid for stardom with a new reality TV show.
The ex-member of Steps, who hails from Ellesmere Port, is taking part in MTV's Totally Boyband, which hits the screen on September 17.
Lee is teaming up with other ex-boy band members Danny Wood from New Kids On The Block, Dane Bowers from Another Level, Jimmy Constable from 911 and Bradley McIntosh from S Club 7.
Between them, the five have sold 87 million albums, banked 40 top ten singles and scored 11 number ones.
Launched to the media, they said they'd all come together in a bid to reclaim the huge success they once had.
Their task is to make a spectacular comeback as a new boy band, in an eight-part warts-and-all reality show.
Lee, who now lives just outside London, said he is looking forward to the challenge immensely.
Born at the Countess of Chester Hospital, he grew up not far from the Port town centre, attending Overpool Junior and Sutton High schools. He later trained in dance, drama and musical theatre at West Cheshire College in the Port.
When Steps split up on Boxing Day 2001 after five years at the top, Lee developed his own band, The Latch, with him on lead vocals, and became co-director of a London celebrity management company.
