RESIDENTS of Florence Grogan House and members of Vintage Blacon over 60s club were selected to take part in an innovative music composition project led by the Manchester Camerata international chamber orchestra.
For the last six weeks, the group has been working with world class musicians and composers who have helped them to compose their very own piece of classical music, based on their shared experiences and memories of the past.
The tune was performed by a professional string quartet in a celebration at Florence Grogan House on Wednesday, December 15. The piece will also be performed at the Chester Musical Festival in the summer.
