Two men have been detained after a stolen car crashed near Chester while being pursued by police.

Cheshire Contabulary was called after a report of a burglary at a house in Kilmorey Park, Chester, at 2.28am yesterday morning (Thursday, August 15) from  where the blue Mercedes was taken.

Sharp-eyed officers sighted the car on Hoole Road and it was followed by police onto the M53 and M56.
