A Year 10 student at Queen’s Park High School is jumping for joy after winning an athletics competition for the second year running.

Cain Noble won the Cheshire Inter Boys Triple Jump at Victoria Park in Warrington last with a jump of 12m 19cm.

Cain said, “I am extremely proud of my achievement and feel honoured to wear the Cheshire Athletics vest.”

Curriculum leader for Physical and Recreational Arts Mr Charlie Clubb added: “Cain’s success is due to his dedication, commitment and passion for sport. I am delighted for him to receive such an accolade not only for himself but for the school community.”

Cain then went on to be the youngest triple jump competitor from all the northern counties at the Mason Trophy at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on Saturday, June 18.

There he came a credible fifth with a jump of 12m 18cm.

Cain’s sporting success doesn’t stop there. He has been nominated for Cheshire Schools Football Under 16 squad after winning the senior trophy in the Cheshire Inter Association Cup, held at Middlewich Football Club last month.

On Monday, June 27 he will be representing Queen’s Park High School at the Chester and District Athletics Championship in Deeside, competing in both track and field events; triple jump and part of the four by 100m relay team.
