BOXES of presents have been pouring out of Neston High School this Christmas.

Students filled 192 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child for needy children across the world.

The youngsters formed a human chain from deputy headteacher Rachel Hudson’s office to the school’s reception area where they were collected.

Mrs Hudson, who co-ordinated the appeal, said: “It was lovely to see so many students involved and also the local community. I am always extremely humbled when I receive the boxes and see the thoughtfulness and generosity of all who were involved. The boxes are a credit to the students of Neston High School and we look forward to seeing the photographs of the boxes being received in the New Year.”

The presents will be transported to children in Eastern Europe, some of whom will never have received a gift before.
