GENEROUS pupils have been packing gift-filled shoe boxes to send a festive message of good will to less fortunate youngsters across the world.

Children at Ashton Hayes Primary School collected more than 50 boxes which will be sent to Africa, Eastern Europe or Asia as part of Operation Christmas Child.

Headteacher Chris Priddey said: “The children have been making and packing boxes full of useful presents for children to support the campaign. I am delighted with the response from the children and parents.”
