Power is out in parts of Upton after an underground cable fire.
Outages were reported after the fire underneath the pavement on Weston Grove after 7pm on Sunday (October 18).
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service engines attended the scene and the fire has now been extinguished.
Power remains out, but suppliers SP Energy Networks said they hope to return it by 10pm.
A SP Energy statement said: "Our emergency response teams have been alerted and will be making their way to site to restore your electricity supply.
"Should this information change on arrival every effort will be made to keep you updated.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
