POP sensation Alexandra Burke will lead a line up of X Factor stars to McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks.
The Ellesmere Port designer outlet is once again launching the festive season in style this year, with the chart-topping star who won X Factor in 2008.
Alexandra Burke will join a whole host of other music acts, including up-and-coming boy band Eli Prime, Liverpool singer Chelcee Grimes and a variety of stars from this year’s X Factor in lighting Britain’s biggest Christmas tree from 5-8pm on Friday, November 11.
At more than 90ft tall, the tree boasts 80,000 baubles and 100,000 lights, making it the biggest tree-lighting event in the country.
Last year’s event attracted more than 15,000 people as chart-topping boy band The Wanted pushed the button.
Previous performers including Shayne Ward, The Saturdays, Eliza Doolittle and Basshunter.
Mark Schofield, deputy centre manager at McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks, said: “Not only are we the biggest designer outlet in the UK, we’re also home to the country’s biggest Christmas tree and lighting it is always a very proud moment.”
“We’re extremely excited to welcome Alexandra Burke to headline the tree lighting in 2011, and it promises to be, once again, a spectacular event to set the festive season off with a bang.”
As well as pop performances, visitors will also be treated to promotions, prizes and a fireworks extravaganza.
