A MYSTERY hooded man on a push bike is wanted for questioning after an outhouse was torched in Chester.

Police are keen to speak to a cyclist spotted at 12.20am on Monday, October 22, near the property on Aldford Road.

Moments later, emergency services were called following reports that an outhouse was in flames.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze before it was able to spread to nearby flats.

No-one was inside the building at the time and no-one was injured as a result of the fire.

It is believed the fire was started deliberately and police are appealing for anyone who can assist with their enquires to come forward.

Detectives are keen to trace the man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

He was seen riding a white push bike near the property at about 12.20am. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up.

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire police on 101 quoting incident number 50 of October 22.
