A 16-year-old girl has been found dead at an an address in Rudheath in Northwich, police have confirmed.
They have identified the teenage girl as Lauren Lelonek and say she was found dead at an address in Braemar Avenue.
They have also released a statement saying there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
The statement from Northwich Police said: “At 3.40pm today (Friday, June 10) police were called by ambulance to an address in Braemar Avenue, Northwich, in support of paramedics responding to a female casualty.
"Sadly a teenager - who has been named as Lauren Lelonek, aged 16 – was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file will prepared for the coroner.”
The statement concluded: "Please note that Lauren's family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this very difficult time."
