DETECTIVES in Chester are appealing for witnesses after four men were seen fighting in the city centre.

One man suffered a broken jaw and another needed stitches to a cut on his mouth following the incident which happened while the men were all waiting for taxis in Bridge Street at 2.50am on Tuesday, July 20.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or knows the whereabouts of two of men who left the scene to contact them.

The first man is described as white, aged between 20 and 25 with short brown hair. He is of medium build and was wearing a light blue jumper, white long sleeved shirt with dark vertical stripes, dark trousers and black shoes.

The second male is described as aged between 20 and 25 with short light brown or fair hair. He is of medium build and was wearing a black jumper, white shirt, dark trousers and dark trainers with white soles.

Officers have also released CCTV images of the men.
