Police are appealing for the public's help in tracing cash stolen from a convenience store during a late-night burglary in Ellesmere Port.

Offenders entered McColls on Old Chester Road, Great Sutton between 2am and 3.30am on Sunday November 2 and took an amount of cigarettes and a quantity of cash.

The money taken had been marked with a purple security dye and police are appealing for anyone who comes into contact with dyed cash, or

who may have seen someone with dye on their clothes or hands, to get in touch.

A 40-year-old woman from the area has been arrested for burglary and bailed while police enquiries continue.
