Police are growing increasingly concerned for the wellbeing of a missing man.

Roland Raynor, 69, was last seen by his family at his home in Great Sutton this morning (October 20).

Mr Raynor, who wears rectangular-framed glasses, is described as white, 5’7" tall, bald and has a hairlip.

He is believed to be on foot and may be wearing a light-coloured shirt, jeans and leather jacket.

He occasionally walks near Eastham Ferry woods.

Insp Deborah Dodd, who is leading the investigation into Roland’s disappearance, said: "We are appealing to anyone who knows Roland or who has heard from him today to get in contact with us immediately.

"Both Roland’s family and Cheshire police are getting increasing concerned and would like to know that he is safe.

"I would also like to make a personal appeal to Roland himself - to contact us urgently, or go to your nearest police station and let us know you are safe. Your family and the police are both extremely concern."

Anyone who knows Roland, or who may recognise him and has seen him today, is urged to contact Cheshire police as a priority on 101 quoting incident 378 of October 20, 2014.
