Police are appealing to the public for help in tracing a man they wish to speak to in relation to a number of burglaries committed in Cheshire and Lancashire, including Tarvin and Northwich.

Mark Fitton, 43, is originally from the Oldham and Greater Manchester areas and has links to Northern Ireland.

He is described as white, around 5"7 in height, of stocky build, with short black greying hair. He has blue eyes and is usually clean shaven.

He is not considered a risk to the public but police are keen to trace him as part of their investigation.

Det Insp Nigel Groom said: "I would urge anyone who has seen Mark Fitton, or knows of his recent or current whereabouts, to contact us on 101. Similarly, I make a personal appeal to Mark himself to come forward and present himself at his nearest police station."

Anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Constabulary on 101 and ask to speak to DC Dave Healy.
