Police appeal after incident outside Chester Railway Station

Two men are being held in police custody following an altercation outside Chester Railway Station last night (Sunday, May 23).

Officers were called to the scene, which involved four men, at about 8.20pm and made two arrests.

A 31-year-old Chester man, is currently being held on suspicion of a Section 5 public order (using threatening or abusive words or behaviour) and a 32-year-old man from Wrexham is being held on suspicion of affray.

Both men are currently assisting officers with their enquiries.

A witness who did not wish to be named, said: "There were three police cars and two vans, I saw an officer putting one of the men into the van and I saw a man with his head covered in blood."
