CONNEXIONS – Cheshire and Warrington is once again taking part in the successful Play Days events run by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The events are aimed at encouraging children and young people to take part in risky play.

Activities, which are all free, include climbing wall, bungee trampolines, bush craft, slime pools, ultimate frisbee and arts and crafts.

There is something there for toddlers to teenagers.

Connexions will be running the very popular My Town, My Job project which has recently been delivered in primary schools with the aid of funding from Aimhigher.

Children and young people will have the opportunity to help build a town.

Jan Jones of Connexions said: “The children get so much from it and learn along the way.”

Youth workers and personal advisers will also be available to chat to at each event.

Play Days events include:

Thursday, August 5 – Castle Park, Off Fountain Lane, Frodsham.

Tuesday, August 10 – Westminster Park, Hough Green, Chester.

Thursday, August 12 – Bunbury Green, Ellesmere Port.
