On Thursday, May 15, Cllr Bobb Rudd was made the new Lord Mayor of Chester.
We pay tribute to outgoing Lord Mayor Cllr Jill Houlbrook, with a picture special of her year in office, which she shared with Lady Mayoress, daughter Rachel Walker.
Rachel posted on the Chester Chronicle Facebook page: “It’s the end of a fantastic year as Lady Mayoress – a year that has given me the opportunity to do so much: meet amazing unsung heroes, support worthy charities, champion good causes, challenge prejudice and homophobia, connect with local communities, visit extraordinary places, learn about our hidden history, speak out on issues, make great friends, enjoy our rich culture, create lasting memories, laugh, cry, eat, drink and be privileged to have spent time with all the wonderful people who do so much for Chester and make it the fabulous, diverse city that I love.
